Paprix

Paprix Blocks and Surfaces are modular interior systems made from Paprix, our circular material developed from post-consumer and industrial paper waste. Designed for circularity, adaptability, and reconfiguration, both systems combine architectural expression with measurable acoustic and structural performance.

The relationship between people and objects is often framed as linear: we produce, use, and discard. This narrative overlooks the agency materials carry and the influence they exert on space and behaviour.

Through Paprix Blocks and Surfaces, we propose a continued dialogue with matter - where recycled fibres re-enter the interior as active spatial elements, carrying traces of its previous life, reassembled into modular forms that shape light, absorb sound, and invite touch.

Built to Adapt

Conceived through architectural and parametric development, Blocks and Surfaces function as adaptable design tools. Their modular geometry enables variation in pattern, density, and spatial articulation. Standard formats support efficient specification, while custom configurations allow projects to respond to context and scale.

About Our Material

The fibre-based composition provides sound absorption suited for workplaces, cultural venues, and public interiors. Components are lightweight, structurally stable, and straightforward to install. Reversible assembly enables adjustment, replacement, and long-term maintenance.

(Features & Advantages)

Reduced CO2 E Every m³ of Paprix diverts 290 kg CO₂ that would otherwise result from incinerating fibers
Waste-based Made from 100% recycled material
Local production Manufacturing from local-sourced paper waste
Recyclable Can be fully recycled into the same loop
Manufacturable Can go through manufacture process like CNC, lasercut; Paprix is as workable as wood
Durable Initial field test indicates one Paprix Block can withstand > 250 kg without deformation
Water resistance coating available Accepts natural coatings without losing recyclability
Variant appearance 12 Colors and 3 variations available
Light-weighted 42% reduced compared to MDF of the same volume
