pulp-scape: workshops2024

pulp-scape is a series of projects proposing a participatory method of transforming paper waste into new materials for creative use. It aims to revolutionise our perception of paper, transforming it from an ephemeral resource that are typically downcycled, to a tactile material that one can connect with. We focus on developing low-tech machinery, toolkits, and a framework to enable the public to join the creative making.

The tools for making is as important as the made product, as the tools are the bridge that connects us and the material other; the trace of a material does not solely exist in the final product, but also in its symbolic, tectonic and aesthetic possibilities revealed in its interaction with people.

We see workshops as a way of democratising the tools and sharing the knowledge of not only “what”, but also “how”. Together with Maker V-10, we host paper tray making workshop at Ungdommens Folkemøde in 2024.
