Even though paper is seen as one of the most recyclable materials in the world, 26% still end up at landfills. With all the paper we waste each year, we can build a 12-foot-high wall of paper stretching from New York to California.
Still, if paper is sorted correctly, it is being downcycled up to seven times to cardboards, egg boxes and newspapers. But it is such a beautiful material that serves as a carrier for images and texts, and can even become an object itself.
